A Transformation of Space
The layout of this entire home was reconstructed. All the walls of the living area and bedrooms were demolished to repurpose the areas with a better use of space. The theme of “Simple Luxury” was adopted for this home.

The original living room is now converted into a study room or guest room. The choice of designing a diagonal wall to enclose this new room results in a larger entry way. This also creates a smooth transition from the foyer to the newly constructed Living and Dining area which used to be the 2 common bedrooms.
In this revamped layout, the living dining area is now comparable to a 5 room flat living space. This creates a generous unhindered communal space for the home owners to host and entertain guests at ease.
The TV area is designed to keep the spacious concept by having mainly open shelves on the walls to reduce the visual bulk of thecarpentry. In addition, this extensive carpentry build stretching from the TV area to the kitchen entrance seamlessly conceals the master bedroom and the common toilet entrance with the use of a feature wall.
The light wood tones of the carpentry adds warmth to the space and creates a balance with the grey stone-like vinyl flooring. Fine details such as the ceiling curve, linear shelves and fluted panel adds design layers to the space.
A pantry defined with matte black laminates is positioned at the entrance of the kitchen for convenience of preparing refreshments. The Kitchen is a closed concept but the space still feels connected, thanks to the huge glass entrance.
A minimal theme was chosen for the kitchen with light grey shades and white quartz countertop. A structural panel backsplash design that mimics the flooring textures was installed to complete the aesthetics of the kitchen.
Cosiness is the order of the day in the master bedroom, warm concealed lighting casts a soft glow throughout this private retreat. A recessed nook was carved out in the built-in wardrobe, offering a convenient place for setting down bedside necessities.
“In today’s life, luxury comes in the form of time and space”. This home truly embodies the emphasis of having the priority ofspace above all and to spend quality time creating memories with friends and family in a more spacious home. We call this “Simple Luxury”.
